"The Theatre - That's Me"
is the motto which brought
together the Bulgarian members
of the juries to the First,
Second and Third
International Triennials
of the Stage Poster,
all of them seduced
and captivated by
the creative process of art.
An exhibition
and a spectacle,
an exhibition
and a game,
an exhibition that
"intermingled" artists
and spectators
in the unforgettable
ambience of the stage.
With plenty of humour
the nineteen authors
(nine of them
are not artists)
have shown works
in diverse mediums,
forms and genres:
objects, video-art,
paintings, sculptures,
graphic and printer sheets,
collage, performance,
installations,
live musical performances.
The organizers
(Bojidar Ikonomov,
Bojidar Ionov,
Albena Spassova)
arranged the "The Theatre -
That's Me"
exhibition-action inspired
by the desire to broaden
the social accessibility
of art and to stimulate
and enrich the public's
interest in art.
The exhibition
and the catalogue
are an element of
the varied activities
of the Triennial during
the six years of its existence.
The present publication
not only records an event,
it also goes to show
that the incitement
to creative activity,
dialogue and exchanges
is an exciting experience
worthy of being shared.
